Welcome to the Santa Ynez Valley Bocce League
The Santa Ynez Valley is known for its unparallel lifestyle.
Complete with rolling vineyards, premium wines, pristine
equestrian facilities and manicured farms, "The
Valley", as the locals say, is the epitome of all
that exemplifies a fantastic lifestyle. One such event/sport
that occurs in The Valley with plenty of community involvement
is the Santa Ynez Valley Bocce League.
On Tuesday nights during the months of April through
October, league teams meet, share wine, food and compete
over a game of Bocce. League games are played on private
residential courts with rules that are designed to foster
social interaction with the flavor of fair competitiveness.
Team rosters are not specific to gender or age, everyone
is welcome to participate. Teams may vary from year to
year based on the number of interested participants.
Our Mission is Clear...
The Santa Ynez Valley Bocce League shall encourage community
participation within a social environment
for the purpose
of amusement, enjoyment, fair competiveness and friendship.
"When
all is said and done, says player after player, the
purpose of the league is not just to exercise and socialize,
but to form lasting relationships and to promote the
sense of neighborhood lost in so many communities in
the fast-paced, techno-savvy world we find ourselves.
In
short, Bocce is just one more thing that makes our
valley the Valley."
